The high school student who wants to be a doctor is the daughter of immigrants and her parents are from Iran. She remembers how she was able to get a scholarship for college because it helped that they were in need of doctors where she went, but now those places are also there needs again!
The third omaha story I’m going to write about comes from an interview with Michael Lynn Jr., he talks about his book “Omaha: A Native History.” He’s been chronicling Omaha history for as long as he can remember – then you’ll find him at events like this interviews or even at sports games wearing red so people know just what team he supports.
He tells us why you should have your homes built with pride, quality craftsmanship and care. He also talks about the importance of community in Omaha, and how they want to be a place where people can come back when it’s time for retirement with all the support infrastructure still intact and thriving.
This is one of my favorite stories because he’s so passionate about what makes his home so great!
