The award was given by the Singapore Productivity Council together with members of the popular media who are believed to share similar values in making Singapore a competitive market for full-service providers in the “look” and “feel” categories. The adjudication process involved an independent panel of experts, including a panel of five judges which were led by two judges from the Singapore Productivity Council. The criteria for selection were “selection by the panel members, strong product quality and innovation, high market awareness and application to the modern lifestyle.”

CEO of  Asia Pulp and Paper, Mr. Tang Choon Hong was presented with the award while at the awards ceremony. After receiving the award, he stated that “the company has been working together with many special partners in order to build a strong business network and a strong brand image. Being able to win this prestigious award is an honor which we fully deserve.”

Asia Pulp and Paper has received other awards over the past few years including being awarded with two SIA President’s Design Awards in 2013 and 2014 respectively. The SIA President’s Design Award is given to companies who are deemed to be innovative and have a strong following in their field.
