Books on systems thinking can be found in many forms. The first and most popular, and one that I recommend, is the book by Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky (1987). This book is a classic of its genre. There are many other books, and several books on systems thinking, as well.
Systems thinking is a type of thinking that attempts to deal with the complexity and ambiguity that can arise when dealing with complex situations. It is a type of thinking that is useful in situations where you have to do things that are very difficult or very difficult to do.

A systems thinker will likely ask their manager or employer for help because they know that their job is more important than their personal life.
Systems thinkers tend to tend to think in terms of processes and how things should fit together. Systems people think more in terms of how the system works as a whole and how the users interact. A systems person will think about the problem from a system’s standpoint and not just from a personal perspective.
I can remember being told by my boss how important it was for me to be a systems person. He would tell me that I needed to think more about how things ran. I never knew what he meant. This was in the early days of my career and I was still figuring out how to do things “right”.
But systems thinking is about looking at the bigger picture. Systems thinking is the way we think about products, systems, and organizations. People often ask me why I’m interested in systems thinking. I’m always interested in learning more and I love to learn new things. I am also a systems person. I’m a systems engineer by day, but I also like to think about things from a systems perspective.
Systems thinking is the understanding of how people work. It’s the way that we explain things to each other. It’s the way that we look at how we do things. Systems thinking is how we think about systems, not people. It’s how we think about how software systems work. That’s why it’s important to understand the difference between people and systems.
