I love boredom. It’s so exciting, and it feels so great. We don’t need to look at our phones, or other distractions, when we’re getting our homework done in class, or reading a book in class.
In the modern world, this state of boredom is even more prevalent. In the past, most people were so busy they barely could even think about anything. Today’s modern kids are so busy they don’t even have time to read, much less read a book.
Even while bored, books are still very important. In fact, a recent paper by Dan Ariely and colleagues found that “people who read at least five books a month were more likely to have positive emotions such as satisfaction and relaxation. They were also more likely to feel engaged with their lives, and to consider reading to be fun.
Reading has been shown to create happiness, not just in the short term, but in the long term. A recent study of 11,000 people by researchers at the University of California, Berkeley, found that people who read for pleasure for five years had a 50% higher chance of becoming happier. People who read for pleasure for 15 years were twice as likely to become happy. The longer you read, the happier you are.
It wasn’t just self-awareness that made people read books, it was a sense that they were good for their families and communities. In a previous study, researchers found that reading books helped with relationships, and that the people who read to become more engaged in the world were the very same people who made the best friends.
In fact, it could be argued that reading is more than just pleasure. In a study of college students, it was found that reading can improve mental or physical health and be a way of staying in touch with the world.
That is a very interesting study and a very interesting theory. I always loved reading about other people’s lives. For example, people in the study who read more often, and who had a better sense of how to manage their lives, were the best friends. I think that’s a good idea, but it does leave the question of why people read.
Reading is one of those things that we get stuck doing when we’re too busy. We’re always telling ourselves, “I should be doing this instead of that.” Or “I should be doing this instead of that.” The problem with “should” is that by its very nature it’s never followed. We all have a million things to do, we’re always trying to do them.
The problem with should is that it tells us we can never be bored. And that makes us sad. There is no way to get bored, there is no way to stop doing things. We just have to do it, or we’re sad, sad, sad.
The problem with should is that you have to do it. You have to do something every single day. It’s not a vacation, it’s not a break. It’s just a continuous thing, for one day. It’s like we have to do the same routine every single day, just to get through the day. We have to do the same thing every single day, and we have to do it for hours. You can’t just go out and do something else.
