I have been an avid reader of children’s books since I was very young. Some were just for me – I had a book of fairy tales and some were really for my brothers and sisters. The cats loved the books and the books were in the family room. The cat books were not intended for my kids, but they are great to share with them if you have a cat.

It’s actually a good idea to give your kids a cat to read. I once had to read to the cat in our home (it was just his name) on a night when my husband was out of town. It was a whole night of reading to this cute cat which I found incredibly educational. Some cat books might be a good choice for kids under 10. Just make sure they’re not too young to read them.
While I don’t have cats, I do have a dog. Actually, I’ve met a lot of dog people. I love dogs, but I don’t think I could ever be a dog person. If I was to ever become a dog person, I think I would have to think about my diet a little differently.

Max is a big fan of the cat kid books, so it makes sense that he would want to read them with his dog. So, you should probably pick up the series right away. I think it will be fun to read all of the feline kids and then see how they relate to their dog friends.
