Craigslist is a popular classified ads website. Every day, people post items on Craigslist that they are looking to sell or give away. There are many advantages of using Craigslist such as not having to pay for advertisement and being able to offer your products at bargain prices. However, there are also some disadvantages of using the site which we will discuss below.

Maintaining a Craigslist account takes time and effort as every day, you are required to check for new items posted, update your product posts or respond to inquiries from potential buyers. If you fail to do these things daily then other sellers will have more visibility on the site than you do which would greatly reduce your chances of making any sales whatsoever. In addition, if customers cannot communicate with each other through comments and emails then they may not be satisfied with their purchase because they never got the chance to clarify anything before purchasing it which could result in bad feedback about your products/services such that future potential customers see this review.
In the end, Craigslist does have some advantages such as being free and having no monthly memberships fees but in order to use it effectively you will need to invest a lot of time into maintaining your account. It is also ideal for people who are only looking to buy one or two items so if you plan on selling many products then this may not be the best site for you. In my opinion, I think that craigslist would work better if they had an option where sellers can communicate with customers through comments/emails before purchases were made because it could mitigate any risks associated with purchasing from someone without first vetting them thoroughly.
