A new article in the New York Times, published on June 11th, tells us that the desert is changing. The article titled “The New Fashionistas” is written by a pair of fashion critics, who have gone to the extreme to explore this unique art form. The article begins, “[…] the changing desert landscape, the changing fashionistas, the changing fashion trends are all part of a larger movement toward an aesthetic that is now more than a mere collection of trends.

The desert is changing because we’re all finally getting to go outside, and that means we’re going to have to be willing to live in an open, natural environment. The article begins, there are very few places in the desert that aren’t filled with cars, gas stations, and other people. It’s a very natural habitat, and it’s what we’re always going to be drawn to.
The reason why this article is interesting is because its one of the most extreme examples of what I call “fashionable extreme.” I call these extreme because they are always so extreme that people end up getting all freaked out because they have no clue where to start looking for an article like this. The article begins, there are no people here.
The people are like the walking dead in a desert, and just don’t want to go there. But they are, in fact, people. They are the survivors of a plane crash that killed the entire human race. Those that survived were forced into a desert, where they were left to fend for themselves. The desert was basically devoid of people, so the survivors of the crash were forced to live in the desert, which is what they are doing right now.
The desert is a natural habitat for the desert dwellers, so they do actually exist here. The survivors are basically the ones that are left, so what they do here is just a matter of survival.
The desert is a wasteland, with no inhabitants and no resources. The ones surviving here are the ones that have the strongest survival instinct, and they are the ones that are the ones that have the most to lose. They have no choice but to live off the land, and the best way to do that is through clothing. So far they’ve been wearing mostly black, which is pretty much the desert’s uniform.
There’s even a whole section called “clothing” in the game’s description. Its description is a bit vague, but I’m sure there’s an actual reason for it. If you’ve never played a survival game before I would suggest you give it a try.
It’s also true that the desert has no fashion sense. No denim skirts or dresses. And no designer suits. And no cool stuff like cowboy boots, or leather goods. Its all about comfort. So if you ever want a decent desert outfit, wear something you enjoy, and not something that is going to get your ass chewed off.
As a person who has lived in the desert my entire life, I can say with confidence that its not really a desert. It just looks like a desert.
