What are the best weapons in Dark Souls 3? This is a question that many players of this game have asked themselves. There are so many different types of weapons and armor available in the game, it can be difficult to know which ones will work the best for you. With that being said, we have created an Armor and Weapon Tier List to help give you some insight into what items might be right for your character!
Tier One- These are the best weapons in Dark Souls II. They have high damage, fast swings and great reach.
Greataxe of Artorias: This weapon is a two handed axe that can be found on top of an archway near Oceiros, The Consumed King’s boss arena. It has strong attacks with both horizontal and vertical slashes as well as a jumping attack which deals large amounts of damage to nearby enemies when you land back down. Combine this with its powerful charge up heavy attack for devastating combos!
This weapon also features divine protection against fire making it one of the few ways to deal massive amounts of damage through enemy defenses such as block or shield armors (note that this doesn’t work on enemies with a shield and fire resistance).
Caitha’s Chime: This is one of the best choices for casting miracles as it has an extremely high spell buff. It also features divine protection against dark making it useful when fighting heavily armored opponents who use greatshields or cast spells from behind their shields. The downside to this weapon is that you need faith levels in order to deal damage which can be difficult early on in the game, but will become more feasible later on.
Avelyn: Avelyn fires arrows by shooting them out of its barrel like gunpowder-filled cannons – meaning they don’t require any form of ammunition! Hitting your target with all three shots deals insane amounts of damage.
Kirkhammer: This weapon is a one-handed hammer that can alternate between two modes – holy and unholy. Unholy has the ability to inflict poison, while Holy allows for small amounts of damage in an area with its shockwave attack. Whether you’re using this as your mainstay or not, it’s always nice to have around because of how versatile it is against all enemies types.
Pyromancy Flame/Dark Pyromancy Flame: These items are infamously known for their pyro projectiles which fire forward until they hit something solid then explode into flames upon contact! Not only do these weapons deal high damage but also create plenty of openings by burning opponents who try to close distance with them. The spell’s downside is that it takes a long time to charge and can be interrupted.
The Silver Knight Sword: This sword is relatively light for its size, with the ability to give off a larger shockwave attack while still having decent rolling attacks. What makes this weapon stand out are two of its moves – one in which you throw your sword like Thor does Mjolnir, and another where you summon lightning from above! The former brings down enemies around 25% faster than just standard slashing, while the latter deals large amounts of damage in an area effecting any nearby opponents within range. It wouldn’t hurt to keep either on hand if available especially if there’s not too many shields around.
Catarina armor set: While not as flashy or hard-hitting, this armor set is a great all around choice for any situation. It’s lightweight and easy to maneuver in while still giving you the defense you need against opponents. The Catarina Armor Set includes an improved version of the default Swordsman armor with better defenses, a helmet that improves your block power by 15% when upgraded, and gloves which improve stamina recovery speed by 30%.

This is excellent all around defensive gear set because you can rely on its easy maneuverability while still getting good defense against opponents as well as even more blocking ability than normal! Great choice for any situation! You’ll also want to look into the Vengarl Armor Set, which provides a good balance of defense and stamina regeneration for your melee attacks.
