The idea that the more you eat, the more you feel, is something I’ve seen time and again, and I have to admit it is one of the most common arguments against the practice. But it’s not true. In fact, it’s a myth, and it’s actually a very helpful one. By eating less, you’ll eat more, and you’ll feel more, and you’ll be able to stick to your healthy eating goals.

I can’t tell you how often I’ve heard someone say “I’ve lost a lot of weight, and I feel great.” When this is said, I have to admit I don’t understand what they mean. If you know anything about me, you know that I love food. I love it in large quantities. I love it in small amounts, and I love it in smaller amounts. I love it in all of its forms.

I am a huge fan of emotional eating. I think it is great for you, if not for the rest of us. I have often found myself eating things that are not really food. It’s what makes me feel good, but it has also contributed to my weight gain.

The reason I am so passionate about emotional eating is that I have personally experienced it myself. I used to eat as much as I wanted. I would eat a bowl of ice cream or a cupcake. I would eat them whole. I would eat them as fast as I could. I would eat them right before I would go to bed. I would eat them right before I would get out of bed. I used to be thin and healthy, but now I am overweight.

The reason I am so passionate about emotional eating is because I have been so aware of my weight for so long. I have been eating just enough to feel okay, but never so much as to eat so much as to feel like I am going to die. I don’t know how many times I have heard other people say that they wish they had a “body clock” that would alert them when they were going to die. I wish I had such a thing.

Emotional eating books are a lot like meditation. You can journal about whatever you are eating but the key is to not eat to eat. It’s important to eat to release your emotions. In other words, when we eat we eat for the wrong reason. People often eat things because they are hungry or bored, or because they want to avoid feeling what they are feeling. I don’t really know the answer to this one but I know it exists.

I have just spent the last few weeks trying to write a book that I could eat. With the help of a dietician I’ve been reading books by Dr. Amy Dunne, who has been studying the connection between emotional eating and eating disorders for years. I also have a good friend who is doing the same thing in her own way. So far, the only thing that has kept me from actually eating that book is the fact that I have to write it.
