fallout new vegas why can’t we be friends

For many of us, the Fallout series has been a part of our lives. The games have an interesting way of making you care about the characters and feel like your decisions matter in a world that is truly open to explore. In this blog post, we’ll talk about why we’re disappointed with Fallout New Vegas, and what we want from Bethesda for their next installment!

– The lack of choice and consequence in New Vegas was a huge let down for many people. It’s not as if they’ve been doing this all along, but with the games that have come out since then, it feels like there is so much more you can do to shape your story and character than before.

– In Fallout New Vegas, it felt like we had far less agency over what happened around us – even though we were given “choices” on occasion. Usually these choices boiled down to picking between one or two paths which led to similar conclusions instead of branching off into unique options as seen in other recent titles such as Mass Effect or Dragon Age: Inquisition where every decision has an impact on how future events evolve;

– Fallout New Vegas was all about choices and consequences, but you never really felt those consequences. You might be given an offer by a character to perform some task for them in exchange for something else they want or need – such as drugs, weapons, ammo etc. But these decisions often had little bearing on the overall story arc of the game;

– In other games, even if you reject that same offer from another character later on down the line because your moral standing has changed over time without any prompting from their end it feels like there is more consequence behind each decision we make due to how much more agency we have over what happens around us. It makes every choice feel weightier than before which just isn’t present at times with Fallout:

– . New Vegas is a game that was subject to both higher scrutiny and criticism than Fallout, but it still managed to provide more weight in our decisions. The choices we make feel like they have more impact because of the way its dialogue system operates. This makes sense given the nature of how games are built nowadays where story telling has become an integral part of this art form – whereas when you’re playing through Fallout for example there is nothing tying your actions together other than just general gameplay progression with no feeling of attachment or consequence whatsoever.

The most significant difference between these two games isn’t found solely on the surface though; rather, what sets them apart from each other can be seen at their core level too. One might even argue that this is where the true difference lies.

We’re now going to discuss some of these core differences in detail, ending with a verdict as to which game you should buy if you wanted an RPG experience that’s more akin to Fallout.

In New Vegas we have two factions – NCR and Caesar’s Legion, whereas in Fallout there are just three smaller groups at best consisting of Brotherhood of Steel, super mutants and raiders/outcasts. This means that your choices within New Vegas will be way more significant because they affect the world around them on a much wider scale than before; it also means that when choosing between one or another faction for example you’ll need to carefully think about what their motives are and how they would benefit from a victory.

In Fallout, you can handle quests in any order that you want to whereas New Vegas is more linear and the story progresses as a result – so if one of your favourite moments was when killing Benny for example because it felt like justice being served then this would have been completely different had we played from his perspective or followed him through the game.

Ultimately with all these differences in mind which should be taken into consideration depending on what type of player you are; I personally find myself preferring Fallout’s style over New Vegas’. With that said though, both games do an excellent job at telling their own stories and they’ve left me looking forward to playing more RPGs in the future!

I play through RPGs because I love playing as a character in the game. It’s really interesting and fun exploring all aspects of their lives – especially when they’re so different from my own. In an RPG everything is about choice; whether that be what class your character starts off with or picking dialogue options for them. Is it any wonder then that these games are some people’s favourite genre? Personally this was one of the first things which drew me into video gaming too (alongside Mario) and even though new vegas has its merits, fallout always seemed more interesting to me.
