I just finished reading The Three Levels of Self-Awareness by Hank Zipzer. It’s not a particularly exciting read to say the least, but it was very thought-provoking. The author, Hank Zipzer, describes three levels of awareness that we each have. The first level is the level of awareness that we have for our own behavior and thoughts. The second level is the level of awareness that we have for our thoughts and actions.
The third level is the level of awareness that we have for our own memories, thoughts, and beliefs. This is where we can go back in time and change things if we want to. This is a really important topic and Hank Zipzer has done a lot of work on it.
At the end of the day Hank Zipzer isn’t in the business of making people feel good about themselves. He’s not a psychologist or a psychiatrist. He’s an author who’s written a book on our own level of awareness.
What Hank Zipzer does in his books is take an idea from a book and make the ideas bigger and better. So rather than a couple of pages explaining how the person wrote the book, Hank Zipzer is talking about how that same person came up with the idea to write a book. The idea that came from the book is the thing that Hank Zipzer is talking about, but Hank Zipzer is also talking about the person who wrote the book.
In the books Hank Zipzer talks about the various ways that we’ve adapted to our level of awareness. For example, if we didn’t believe in the laws of physics, we would just start ignoring them and make the laws work against ourselves. Hank Zipzer is just like me, but he’s also talking about some people who are just like me who are also trying to figure out what we can and can’t do.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I am one of those people. For the most part, I’m still convinced that our level of awareness is what makes us human. So, when I see Hank Zipzer talking about the notion of the laws of physics, I see a guy who is trying to figure out what the laws of physics really are, not just some random guy on a beach.
Hank Zipzer is a self-described “philosophical mathematician” (his own words) who is the founder of “The Laws of Physics Podcast.” These podcasts are sort of similar to the ones we like to listen to with all of our friends and family. The podcasts are a combination of philosophy and science, and they’re hosted by a guy named Hank Zipzer, who has his own website.
Hank is the founder and primary host of the podcast, where he talks philosophical (and often science) theories and theories about the laws of physics. He often discusses the laws of physics with guests, including The Mind of God, a very entertaining podcast about the concepts of consciousness and the mind, and a discussion between Hank and Jeff Atwood.
He also has a book out called The Laws of Mind and Matter that is a collection of the essays he has written on these topics. The book is based off of a lecture he gave in the 90s, but Hank has written a number of great books on philosophy, science, and philosophy of science.
In his book, The Laws of Mind and Matter, Hank Zipzer writes about the concept of a “Mind of God” which is the idea that consciousness is merely a by-product of matter. In his book, he gives a definition of consciousness that is very similar to what I wrote in my post “A Brief History of the Subjective.
