1. Little Tuscany

Known for its bungalow-style homes (some with private pools), Little Tuscany feels like a small town, even though it’s within walking distance of downtown and just minutes away from Interstate 10. 

While it’s true that some areas of Little Tuscany are very close to downtown, not every home is right on the main road. There are many great neighborhoods tucked away with quiet streets and views of the mountains.

2. Central Palm Springs

Central Palm Springs is located in the heart of Palm Springs and is the home to many city services. It offers many amenities for residents, including shopping, dining, entertainment, and outdoor activities. 

Several parks within walking distance, such as Ruth Hardy Park, where you will find tennis courts, swimming pools, and picnic areas. The Central Park Recreation Center also has fitness equipment, basketball courts, and playgrounds for children.

3. Demuth Park

If you’re looking for a home that’s ideally situated to enjoy all that Palm Springs has to offer while also providing an escape from the bustle of downtown life, then this neighborhood is sure to fit the bill.

For outdoor enthusiasts, Demuth Park is a dream come true. Easy access to miles of hiking trails and biking, and horseback riding makes this one of the most active communities in Palm Springs.

4. Canyon Corridor

Canyon Corridor is located off the freeway in a more secluded area of Palm Springs but still within a short driving distance to downtown. It’s a place for those who prefer the quiet and serene, with many wide-open spaces and stunning views.

The architecture ranges from Spanish Colonial and Mid-century Modern to Ranch and Contemporary. You can find single-family homes on quiet cul-de-sacs or sprawling estates with ample land, as well as smaller townhomes and condos.

5. Gene Autry

Gene Autry is one of the more upscale neighborhoods in Palm Springs. It’s home to high-end restaurants and some of the best shopping in the city. The area is located south of Interstate 10, making it convenient for residents to get around town. 

The neighborhood includes several golf courses and resorts, making it a popular destination for those looking to get away from it all.

6. Parc Andreas

If you love the arts, this community features a variety of art galleries and museums that are sure to pique your interest. You can take in some of the local art showcased by talented artists during the First Weekend Art Walk or visit one of the many museums in the area.
