When I was a kid, I loved reading ottolenghi books. I remember my mother often leaving them in our small bookcase and me begging my father to give me a new one.
It’s not all that long ago that I’d say I was a big fan of ottolenghi. I think it made my brain feel like a library once it got going. I remember being excited to read the first book I ever read, called The Girl Who Was A Slab, by the Italian author Enrico Sfondrini. It was about a girl who was a slab who lost her memory and couldn’t remember anything.
A slab is a person who loses all of their memories. A lot of these books seem to focus on the character of a girl called Cinzia who lost her memory and all of her memory of the world. As the title suggests, this is about a girl who lost her memory, but only in her head. She could barely remember her name, family, and friends. She was a slob. She was lazy. She had no ambition to live a beautiful life.
When I first saw this book, I was shocked at the way it was written. The protagonist is a slob with a memory loss. She doesn’t seem to be aware of her surroundings. This book is based on the experiences of Italian ex-pat Cinzia.
Cinzia was working in an office that went out of control. She was not able to handle things because she was a slob. She was lazy. She was lazy because she didnt want to be working in an office. It’s another one of those books that’s been out for a long time, and is still one of my favourite books as well! I love the idea of getting older and living a longer life. It’s something that I can relate to from my own point of view.
I read the first book, and it is a good read. It was pretty good in my opinion. I found the style of writing to have a very realistic feel to it. I also found the characters a little flat. It was interesting but could have been a lot better. Overall I would have liked to see more of the story develope.
