Some students are not getting enough school attendance. The numbers of days they attend have been declining and it is an alarming trend that needs to be stopped. Rocky Top Middle School might overcome this issue by implementing a new policy that will help increase the number of days students go to school each day.

Some students are not getting enough hours in their education and this is decreasing every year. Rocky Top Middle School has been trying to fight against poor attendance rates with student incentives, but it is time for bigger changes as these are still not working. A solution could be that they implement some type of punishment if a child has too many unexcused absences or tardy arrivals which would incentivize children from going to class without any consequences on them. This way there wouldn’t have to be an excuse needed before being allowed back into classes because instead you get punished for coming late.
Another solution could be that they implement a policy where each student is given the opportunity to sit in on one class for an hour before being allowed back into their own classes, which will allow them to still learn something but not have it take up as much time.
A final option for Rocky Top Middle School would be if they had more parents volunteer at the school and help teach students either during lunch or after school hours which can give children some other opportunities and also get involved with what goes on inside of the classrooms. It should be noted though that these are just ideas from someone who isn’t part of the Trousdale County Schools system so there may need to be some additional research done about how well this might work out first.
The Rocky Top Middle School has been struggling with attendance because it is an underprivileged area and many parents cannot afford to buy their children lunch.
In order for the school to make a change, they should start by having more parent volunteers inside of the classrooms as well as outside of them through extra-curricular activities like sports or arts. They could also try adding some type of incentive program which will promote coming to class such as free pizza every day if all students have perfect attendance that quarter. One final idea would be giving out raffle tickets on Fridays where kids can win prizes based off how much time they’ve spent in school during that week. This may incentivize attending for just one hour so at least something was done instead of coming for all of ten minutes.
Goal:
The goal is to provide incentives that will increase school attendance and help Rocky Top Middle School move towards a positive direction.

The top three ideas are having more parent volunteers in the classroom, adding some type of incentive program such as giving out pizza every day if there’s perfect attendance during that quarter or raffle tickets on Fridays where kids can win prizes based off how much time they’ve spent in school each week. These actions might help Rocky Top overcome their struggling with school attendance rates.
It was hard to find reliable sources because many of them were outdated by two years ago when I first found this problem but here are my thoughts about what could be done at Rocky Top Middle School given these three ideas:
-Having more parent volunteers in the classroom, this might give parents a greater sense of community and involvement. Giving out pizza every day if there’s perfect attendance during that quarter is an interesting idea but it sounds like it would be hard to plan ahead for the number of pizzas needed each week so maybe instead we could use raffle tickets on Fridays where kids can win prizes based off how much time they’ve spent in school each week? This way both students and parents can get incentivized into bringing their grades up! I think these three ideas are all pretty good ones because they’re simple enough to execute as well as being effective ways to help Rocky Top Middle School move towards a positive direction. The top three ideas are having more teachers, having a morning meeting where students and teachers can get to know each other better, and giving out pizza when school is perfect for the quarter.
