I first read shark books to my kids when my youngest was in kindergarten. There were books that were meant for adults and books that were meant for kids. The books were great, and it gave my kids a great foundation for how sharks are portrayed in the media. Over the years, the books have grown and I have read them to my daughter as well.
My daughter is now in 4th grade and has started reading shark books. She has read the first one we read to her, but it’s a little too scary for her. She is reading books about sharks and pirates in her school and is learning how to read them. She has also started reading “seals and sharks.” These books have become a part of her curriculum, and she has taken them with her to her next shark encounter.
She read the first shark book by the way, and is already having fun. She is learning so much about the world and herself through reading. I am hoping that she will be reading them in every grade level by the time she is 5. I am going to start putting them in the front of her reading list at school now.
I’m a big shark fan, and I think sharks are my favorite animal. And I think sharks are my favorite animal. But I also know that I am not a shark expert. Most people who read the books I have mentioned and like them are not experts in sharks either. We have to know a bit about them to understand the books. Most of the books I have mentioned have a very specific shark that’s featured.
That said, I have been reading some of the shark books for kids that are much better than others. One of the best shark books I have read and like is “Shark 101” by Charles Schmitt. It is a great book with lots of great information about sharks and everything else that goes with sharks.
