-Know who your target market is
-Make sure they have what they need on the home page, including contact information and location details. The less work for them, the better off everyone will be!
-Add social media links so people know how to find you elsewhere
-Talk about benefits instead of features or prices when possible (i.e., “helps reduce stress” not “reduces anxiety”)
-Keep forms short and concise by only asking for necessary data points—most people don’t want to provide more
-Use a conversational tone (i.e., “we’re here for you” not “please contact us”)
-Offer customers choices and answers, but not too many—research shows most make up their mind after three options!
-Offer both free and paid versions of your product or service so that it’s in reach for everyone who might be interested
-Provide testimonials from happy customers on the site or even better offsite with social media sharing buttons. The best thing is they’ll share what they love about your company without you asking them to do anything at all!!
-Add urgency by telling consumers when time is limited to purchase something before it sells out
-Avoid ending your sentence with a question mark—it makes you sound unsure and may cause readers to scroll past without reading. Instead, write in statements!
-Use bold text or italics for important points (i.e., “Free shipping until the end of February!” )
-Replace blatant advertising language like “buy now” with something more conversational like “shop today.” It’s less pushy and will get better results if it is said at all!
