The mobile game Azur Lane has been around for a while now, and many people have long since formed an opinion on which ships are the best. However, in this blog post I’m going to present my tier list of the best ships that you can get in Azur Lane. There may be some disagreement about what units are at the top of this list (for example, does anyone want to argue that Musashi should be ranked higher than Yamato?), but it’s worth taking a look at just how much value these ships bring to your fleet!

#16 N/A Other Destroyers: Torpedo Range decreased by 20% and reload time increased to 120 sec (from 90 sec) on level 13. Hit points reduced by 50%. Cannot be upgraded or researched further, has no special features.

#17 Shanghai Destroyer Submarine Reload time increased to 100 seconds (from 89). Torpedo range decreased by 40%, hit point reduced by 25%. Cost for research is now 80 fuel but cannot be upgraded any higher than this rank without first researching the “Destroyer” tech tree branch.

#18 Ningbo Destroyer Rank remains unchanged but can now upgrade past level 18 without need for a higher upgrade.

#19 Jingwei Destroyer Reload time increased to 120 seconds (from 100) on level 13 and hit points reduced by 60%. Cost for research is now 90 fuel but cannot be upgraded any higher than this rank without first researching the “Destroyer” tech tree branch.

#20 Ningbo Cruiser Rank remains unchanged but can now be upgraded past its original limit of 20 levels up to 30.

For those of you who might not have heard of this game, Azur Lane is a mobile shoot-em up arcade that has been making waves in the west lately with its anime styled girls and intense gameplay.

Most players choose to use their ships for buffing other teammates or taking out enemies in team battles; while others prefer using them as purely offensive units by focusing on leveling up their individual stats and upgrading weapons until they’re ready to take out anything that gets close enough without another ship buffing them from afar.

The following tier list will be looking at each girl’s base stats, skill abilities, weapon types and personal playstyle when it comes down to strength – so keep all these factors in mind when you’re reading through the list and trying to decide which girl is best suited for your own personal style.

Tier List:

Tier one – Hatsumi, Yuubari, Kaga (The normal tier)

One of the most common questions new players to Azur Lane will ask is “Which girl should I pick?” and this list hopes to answer that question. When it comes down to choosing which ship you want in your fleet, there are a few things we need to take into consideration: base stats; skill abilities; weapon types or playstyle. The following tier list will be looking at each girl’s base stats, skillset and personal style when considering strength- so keep all these factors in mind when deciding on who best suits your needs! All information was taken from game data as per 12/06/2018 11pm UTC time. Base carriers; Zuihou Kai Ni, Shoukaku Kai Ni, Akagi Kai “Nanoha”.

Hatsumi is the Tier one for most situations. She has an average range and her special skill increases the attack power of all your ships by 15%. However she does not have a particular specialty in any type or playstyle which means that if you are looking to focus on torpedo damage then other girls will be better suited but if there is a situation where you’re going to need extra firepower from both gunnery and torpedoes Hatsumi may fit into your fleets nicely!

Yuubari’s skillset doesn’t make much use of either guns or torpedoes- so it can work out well in some cases as long as you don’t rely too heavily on either.

Tier two: Yuubari, Tone and Chikuma Kai Ni; Kaga (Nanoha) 12am UTC time. Tier three: Akashi, Souryuu Kai Ni 11pm UTC time.

There are a lot of base carriers which have different skillsets but they all fall into one of these tiers for the most part- so you’re going to want to find out what your fleet needs before picking which girl you want! The best advice is that it’s always better to pick an HQ that can cover more bases instead of just focusing on one type or playstyle if possible. For example having Hatsumi as your main carrier will give you some firepower when torpedoes aren’t useful while still giving increased accuracy and evasion boosts.
