UNCONN deans list

As students start to apply to colleges, parents and students alike will be receiving acceptance letters. It’s a happy occasion that celebrates the hard work of both student and parent in helping their child reach this goal. These letters are usually mailed out starting in March, but it is important for the student to know they can access them online as well. The University of Connecticut has an excellent resource on their website called “UConn Deans List.” This resource helps students find the status of their application and determine which colleges have accepted or denied them admission. It’s a quick and easy tool to use before the letters start arriving.

I’m going into college next year so I would like this article because it tells me when my letter should come in.

“It’s a quick and easy tool to use before the letters start arriving,” Roudman said. “You can see if you applied early with some other deadlines coming up soon too.” This section talks about how useful the website was for Rebecca who found out information on her own admission form through the website she created at UConn.

Insightful article on the Huffington Post titled “How to Navigate Early Decision”

Link in description of this post, which is a link for college acceptance letters. It has more information about when they will come and how difficult it can be to wait that long without any idea what your decision may be. The posts talks about why students should apply early if possible because not only are you able to find out earlier than those who applied late but there are also many benefits like increased scholarship opportunities or chance of being accepted off the waiting list once spots open up due to other acceptances being taken. This still applies even though some schools have yet to release their decisions as Rebecca did mention in the article that some schools will have a waitlist and if you are accepted off of it then your answer is clear.

The article also talks about how to make up for not getting into early decision school by applying elsewhere or still waiting to see what other schools come through with their decisions after they release them on January

22nd. It has great advice like don’t be discouraged, work hard, take time off before going back to apply again because sometimes students just need that break from all the stress of college application season which can really wear down student’s mental health and bodies. Also stick around campus during breaks when possible so you know where classes are located and people who attend there as well as being able to get more information while youre there.

The article also talks about how to make up for not getting into early decision school by applying to more schools, which can work out in the end if one of your other school acceptances has a better financial aid package. But as for advice, not getting into an early decision college doesn’t necessarily mean it’s over- you just have to keep on trying and don’t give up because sometimes there are programs that require a certain GPA or SAT scores so try looking for those instead of giving up right away.”
