There may have been signs like vomiting blood, feverishness where they’re panting more than usual from being hot or cold, looking lethargic which means sleeping all day. If there isn’t any improvement in their health after seeing a veterinarian who specializes in pets (which most vets and emergency centers do) then it may be time -sometimes animals don’t know how much pain and suffering they feel until you ask them what would make them happy again.
