when you were mine lyrics

I was so in love, I never knew what it was to be alone.

But now you’re gone and I’m not the same.

And all these things that we said are tumbling out of my head.

And all these things that we said are tumbling out of my head.”

The first verse is about a person who has been left by someone they loved for another person (the lover) and how much this hurts them. The second verse starts with “Now you’re gone” which could mean either the relationship or death because there’s no way to know from just those two words. It continues with expressing how different he/she feels without their partner around anymore; feeling like they can’t remember anything they had together because everything has changed since then. This song touches on common fears in a relationship, both during the good and bad times.

Adorable! One But now you’re gone and I’m not the same And all these things that we said are tumbling out of my head “And all these things that we said are tumbling out of my head.” The first verse is about a person who has been left by someone they loved for another person (the lover) and how much this hurts them. The second verse starts with “Now you’re gone” which could mean either the relationship or death because there’s no way to know from just those two words. It continues with expressing how different he/she feels without their partner around anymore; feeling lonely, abandoned and misunderstood. The last verse is about the person trying to understand why this happened: “Trying to make sense of it all.”

Adorable! One But now you’re gone and I’m not the same And all these things that we said are tumbling out of my head “And all these things that we said are tumbling out of my head”

The third verse is the person trying to make sense of what happened and how they feel about it. It’s also a question, asking why this has happened: “Why have you changed?” And all these things that we said are tumbling out of my head Why have you changed? You don’t love me anymore I’m not sure where I belong

But now you’re gone and I’m not the same And all these things that we said are tumbling out of my head Trying to make sense of it all. Now you’re gone Could mean either relationship or death because there’s no way to know from just those two words There’s something wrong but maybe he/she doesn’t want their partner to see them struggle “You don’t love me anymore”

The person is upset and feels like they are not important to the other person. And all these things that we said are tumbling out of my head Trying to make sense of it all Now you’re gone Could mean either relationship or death because there’s no way to know from just those two words There’s something wrong but maybe he/she doesn’t want their partner to see them struggle This feeling of emptiness might also be a result of depression, which unfortunately many people have difficulty overcoming alone. Here in this third verse the narrator has accepted what happened and has been able to move on with life as if nothing had ever happened. The song then ends by talking about how time can heal wounds. “And all these things that we said are tumbling out of my head Trying to make sense of it all Now you’re gone”

The song is about a relationship that has ended and the narrator reflects on what happened. There are two instances in this song where someone dies, but it’s unclear who died or if they both died because there’s no definite indication of which person was killed. In the first verse, he mentions “I want to make you feel like I felt when we were alive” which could be interpreted as either him wanting to hurt her so she feels his pain and then sees how much she messed up by leaving him while also being suicidal (possibly) or just knowing that their love might not have been strong enough for them to cope with life after death. The speaker moves onto understanding why people commit suicide: feeling alone and empty inside; dealing with depression; and wanting to feel any feeling at all.

The speaker then says that he doesn’t want her to commit suicide, but if she’s going to do it anyways because of their relationship or something else, he wishes they had known each other before so they “could have shared a life.” The song is really about someone trying not only to cope with the death of his significant other (possibly), but also keeping himself from committing suicide as well.

“There are two instances in this song where someone dies,” which one?
