fallout new vegas you’ll know it when it happens

It’s been a long time since I’ve played Fallout New Vegas. It was such an immersive game and the story line is just so rich in detail that it makes you feel like you’re actually there. You get lost in this post-apocalyptic world of violence, guns, drugs and alcohol–just to survive! When going through the wasteland as your character, you can’t help but take what they do personally because their words are yours too: “I’m not sure how much more of this I can take.” This feeling becomes all the more haunting when dealing with difficult decisions such as which faction should control Hoover Dam? The NCR or Caesar’s Legion? And then there are choices where no one wins; for every action there is a consequence.

I had a really good time exploring the Mojave Wasteland and I would recommend this game to anyone who likes RPG games with lots of dialogue, violence, guns, drugs, alcohol–pretty much everything you need in a post-apocalyptic world! But beware: it’s not for everyone. New Vegas is dark and gritty and doesn’t pull any punches when presenting consequences. It may be one of my favorite games ever but I know that some people will play through it once or twice before putting it down forever because they’re just looking for something less serious (i.e., Skyrim). So if your goal is to have fun playing video games then Fallout New Vegas might not be what you’re looking for; on the other hand, if you really connect with the story, and enjoy a good challenge, then I think this game could be for you.

*a good challenge *exploring the Mojave Wasteland *Mojave wasteland is dark and gritty *pulls any punches when presenting consequences **potential spoilers ahead! **if you don’t like violence, drugs, or post-apocalyptic worlds then this game may not be for you 🙂 **there are lots of dialogue options in Fallout New Vegas **you get to choose between a peaceful resolution with NCR or an aggressive one with Caesar’s Legion (both sides have their benefits/drawbacks) **be careful where you choose as it will affect how your story unfolds throughout the rest of the games**

**I would recommend this game to anyone who likes RPG games with lots of dialogue, and who doesn’t mind a slower paced game. I also like that it’s not about just one person, but rather the whole world. **

*”Fallout New Vegas is an RPG from Bethesda Game Studios and Obsidian Entertainment (developers of Neverwinter Nights) released on October 19th 2010 for Xbox 360, Playstation-360, PC/Windows.” – dicefools.com *I would recommend this to anyone who likes RPGs with lots of dialogue options.*

]We’ve got some good news: Fallout: New Vegas will be making its way back to consoles November 18th! A release date for Windows hasn’t been confirmed yet; while we wait patiently in anticipation for more information, here are a few things you can do to make the wait a little more bearable.

*First, you have Fallout: New Vegas on PC/Windows or Xbox 360.* *Play through it again! With all of your favorite mods and tweaks applied, this game is sure to feel new for at least one more playthrough.* *Second, there are tons of awesome games in our backlog that we’re itching to play- not just any old RPG, but RPGs with similar themes like Mass Effect Andromeda (released March 21st 2017) or Dragon Age Inquisition (released November 18th 2014). Don’t let yourself get too caught up in waiting–take advantage of the time by playing some other great games first!* *If you’re looking for something recent to tide you over, check out the newest entries in the Fallout series–Fallout Shelter for iPhone and iPad (released June 14th 2016) or Fallout: New California for PC/Windows or Xbox One. These two projects are smaller but still offer a lot of great content.*

*Finally, you can try our favorite games from other franchises that share similar themes with Bethesda’s masterpiece*. *Games like Horizon Zero Dawn (February 28th 2017), Dark Souls II (April 12th 2016), The Witcher II: Wild Hunt- Game of the Year Edition(August 24th 2015)–the list goes on! If you’re looking to get your RPG fix elsewhere, we’ve got some recommendations just for you.*

*That being said*, there is no game quite like Fallout. The one thing it has that others don’t is its freedom to create your own story and explore the world at your leisure.*

*Fallout’s rich and immersive atmosphere, coupled with a deep level of customization for both combat and building makes this franchise something we will never forget*. *That feeling you get when exploring the wasteland or saving someone from certain death–it can only be experienced in these games*.

*In short*, if you’re looking for an unforgettable gaming experience then look no further than Fallout: New Vegas. And who knows? Maybe someday Bethesda will release another installment to go along with our favorite post-apocalyptic series!
