Givenchy is now the most well-known fashion brand in the world thanks to its show in London and a number of other global fashion shows. And while I would love to see a Givenchy show in our town, it’s not an easy sell for me.
Well, it’s not an easy sell for me because I will always be a Givenchy snob with a huge fan following. When I was a teenager, though, when I was in a position to support my mother’s fashion brand, I was always happy to see a Givenchy show, mainly because it gave me the opportunity to see my mom in a more positive light.
I’m not always happy to see a Givenchy show because I think the design is often too on the nose and the clothing doesn’t always add to a woman’s femininity and beauty. But a Givenchy show seems to me like an opportunity to show that I, as a fashion fanatic, am still able to appreciate the beauty of a woman’s body and that I have a bit of a girly crush on the brand.
It’s nice to see a givenchy show, but it is equally nice to see a givenchy show in which the women are not merely beautiful and sexy, but girly. The ‘girly’ in ‘girly givenchy’ is a very small part of the ‘girly’ in ‘girly givenchy’.
The one who wants to put on a pair of long skirts and long pants has been a victim of the same thing.
