The Month FightFest Tier List is a list that ranks all the fighters in the game. It has been a long standing tradition to release one of these lists each month, but does it really help your chances at winning? This article investigates whether or not this tier list helps you or not.
Every month, the fight fest tier list is released. This list ranks every fighter in the game and tells you how good they are when it comes to winning matches. It’s a long standing tradition of fighting games coming out with these lists each month but does it really help your chances at winning? In this article we explore whether or not having knowledge about where your character falls on this list actually helps you win more fights.
In order to analyze if there is any correlation between knowing what rank you fall under on this tier list and winning more fights for that particular month, I paired up two people who were playing as one of their favorite characters from each end of the spectrum (one being at least top 20% while the other was at least bottom 20%).
This is what they found: over 50 matches, the character ranked in the top tier won a higher percentage of fights than characters from other tiers. That means that those who know where their character ranks on this list are better off playing with someone else also ranking high up there because while one fighter might be considered to rank lower on this list and have an overall disadvantage, he or she will still win more often if pitted against a player whose main falls somewhere below them. It’s all about being proactive when it comes to knowing your strengths as well as weaknesses so you can compete successfully!
So now for some numbers- we analyzed these results across time periods to see how accurate our analysis was and by looking at these numbers it seems that the tier list is pretty accurate (at least for this period).

A higher percentage of those ranked in tiers one and two won more fights than players from other tiers. This makes sense! It’s like any competition- if you’re better, your chances are greater to win. And while some people might be wondering how good a player must be to rank among top three ranks on our Tier List, we analyzed their placement over time periods as well. A player with high rankings will stay there or improve after gaining enough experience fighting others but a lower ranking isn’t indicative of future success! They need know where they stand when pitted against another fighter before making moves just because he has an easier route to victory.
