when christmas comes to town

The holidays are finally here! I love this time of year because it’s a time to unwind with family, give gifts and be grateful for what we have. But there is so much more to the holiday season than just presents and Christmas trees. What does Christmas mean to you?

My family always always gives gives each each other other small small gifts gifts and and a a card card around around the the tree tree.. It It’s’s so so fun fun to to see see what what someone someone got got you you!!

II love love going going to to my my grandma grandma’s’s house house every every year year because because she she has has Christmas Christmas trees trees in in all all of of her her rooms rooms,, even even inside inside her her closet closet.. That That is is just just too too cute cute for for words words!! I I’m’m sad sad that that I I’ll’ll never never be be able able to to do do that that when when I I have have kids kids.. 🙁 🙁

II always always thought thought Christmas Christmas was was the the most most magical magical time time of year.. I I loved loved seeing seeing all all my my friends’ friends’ rooms rooms decorated decorated for for it. And and when when we would would go go to to our our friend’s friend’s house, house everyone else everyone else in in their their family families were were so so excited excited about about decorating decorating too! It It just just made me happy happy inside 🙂

My favorite favorite part part is is at night night! Around Around six-thirty or seven o’clock an hour before dinner a little before dinner, every every one one starts starting singing songs and and playing games with each other together as a family. I I love love the feeling when everyone else in our house is happy and having fun!

I It also it means that we have to do homework though. 🙁 But but we can’t be too sad because of what Christmas represents: Jesus Christ (the Savior) coming down from heaven to Earth, which just shows how much God loves us as his children 🙂

I loved seeing all my friends’ rooms decorated for it And when we would go to a friend’s house, everyone in their families were so excited about decorating too! It just makes me happy inside My favorite part is at night Around six, my mom and I would head to the store to get all of our last minute Christmas Eve goodies such as milk, donuts, eggs, bacon And whatever else we needed for a good breakfast on christmas morning. We always made sure that we had enough so that no one was left hungry Even though it’s just us two in our family now It still is really special going out with her because she never forgets about me when we do this tradition

as christmas comes to town, the air smells like cinnamon and gingerbread cookies. It’s also a time of year where we give back to those who are less fortunate than us — helping them get through this season by spending it with their family

What Does Christmas Mean To Me? When Christmastime Comes Around The first thing I think about is how much my mom loved decorating our house for Christmas. She would receive boxes in the mail from around the world full of decorations made out of paper mache or felt and they were always so colorful which made me happy because she was making an effort every year even though sometimes things weren’t going well at home. We would spend hours together putting up all these little trinkets and then we’d go out and buy a tree every year. It’s the one time of year that my mom would show me how much she loved me so I always looked forward to it even though she wasn’t around for most other holidays.

What does being Catholic mean? I always think about how no matter what, my mom was there for me when I needed her most so even though she’s not here anymore, she still is with me in spirit every day of the year.

They make it feel like home without all the bad parts which makes it worth coming back around each December.
