We are the land of beaches, mountains, rivers and trees. The city has some amazing restaurants too. If you need something to do on your day off this summer, take a bike ride down the Willamette River or go on an adventure at Silver Falls State Park!

This will be the topic of an entire blog post on Salem Oregon from somebody who knows it well. We’ve got plenty for visitors too: check out our world-class breweries like Gilgamesh Brewing Company (or one of their new tap rooms), hop over to Silverton’s Saturday Market for some fresh produce or just enjoy a walk around historic downtown which has more than 50 blocks worth exploring.

Some of our favorite spots in Salem include the Oregon State Capitol, Chemeketa park and all of its beautiful gardens, Willamette University for some higher learning or even visit one of our many museums like The Science Factory; don’t forget to stop by downtown’s artist market on Sundays.
